This ready-to-fish slow-pitch jigging combo pairs the parabolic action of the Assassin Jigmaster II Slow 6M-S with the smooth power of the Shimano 26 Nasci C5000XG and the sensitivity of XBRAID Upgrade X8 Pentagram. Every component is selected to maximise the rhythmic lift-and-flutter-fall of centre-weighted metal jigs that defines true slow-pitch technique.

Rod: Assassin Jigmaster II Slow 6M-S Spinning Rod

The Jigmaster II Slow 6M-S is purpose-built for slow-pitch spinning, featuring a full parabolic through-action that loads deeply on the lift and releases energy smoothly to trigger the flutter-fall that draws strikes. The slow rating and 6-metre-per-second taper tempo keep the jig moving naturally through the water column, while the spinning configuration suits anglers who prefer front-drag setups over conventional jigging reels.

Reel: Shimano 26 Nasci C5000XG

The 2026 Nasci C5000XG brings Shimano’s G-Free Body design and SilentDrive construction to a mid-range price point, delivering exceptionally smooth retrieves under load. The XG extra-high gear ratio recovers line quickly between pitches without disrupting jig cadence, while the C5000 body size provides the line capacity and drag strength needed for deeper slow-pitch sessions and hard-running demersal species.

Line: XBRAID Upgrade X8 Pentagram

XBRAID Upgrade X8 Pentagram is an 8-carrier braid built around a pentagram cross-section that enhances roundness, reduces guide friction, and improves casting distance. The tight weave delivers high sensitivity so you feel every tap and bottom contact during the fall phase, and the low-stretch construction ensures solid hooksets from depth critical when slow-pitch strikes often come on the flutter-down.

Together, these three components form a cohesive slow-pitch spinning system tuned for the lift-and-flutter-fall technique. Ideal for serious jiggers targeting demersal species add the combo to your cart and fish it straight out of the box.
