The Hogy Charter Grade XL Deep Swimmer is a precision-engineered deep-diving plug built for serious anglers targeting trophy-class fish in both inshore and offshore environments. Designed to reach depths of 3035 feet, this 7-inch plug maintains a stable, true-tracking swim whether youre slow trolling structure or covering ground at speeds up to 12 knots.

Constructed with full thru-wire integrity, heavy-duty split rings, and 4X VMC treble hooks, the XL Deep Swimmer is built to withstand the power of large striped bass. Its wide-body profile produces a natural baitfish wobble, while the balanced design ensures consistent performance across a wide range of trolling speeds.

Available in translucent and glow finishes, this plug is designed for maximum visibility in all conditions. Whether youre scanning open water for marks or working productive depth zones, the XL Deep Swimmer keeps your presentation dialed in and in the strike zone longer.

Where and When to Use:

• Open water when fish are scattered or holding mid-column
• Inshore trolling for large striped bass along channels and structure
• When targeting fish holding 2035 feet down
• Low-light or deep-water conditions where visibility is critical
• Searching large areas efficiently while monitoring sonar

How to Fish It:

• Set & Troll: Deploy 100150 ft behind the boat and troll at 2.53.5 knots to keep the plug in the strike zone
• Adjust Depth by Distance: Letting more line out increases running depth naturally
• Use Turns to Trigger Strikes: Wide turns create speed and depth changesinside rises, outside dives
• Surge & Drop Technique: Briefly increase speed to drive the plug deeper, then slow down to create a rising wobble that triggers reaction bites
• Cover Water Efficiently: Use as a search bait to locate fish before switching to more targeted presentations

Features:

• Extreme Deep-Diving Performance Reaches 3035 ft and runs 2428 ft at 5 knots to stay in the strike zone
• Offshore-Grade Durability Thru-wired construction with 4X VMC treble hooks and heavy-duty split rings
• All-Speed Trolling Capability Tracks true from slow trolling to speeds up to 12 knots
• Wide-Body Swimming Action Natural wobble mimics large baitfish
• Translucent & Glow Finishes Maximum visibility in clear, deep, and low-light conditions
