Diamond Chafe Tubing is designed to protect monofilament, fluorocarbon, and other leader materials from wear at high-contact connection points. Placed around the leader where it passes through hook eyes, swivels, and other terminal tackle, the tubing creates a protective barrier that helps reduce abrasion and chafing.

The tubing is also useful when building cable-to-mono or cable-to-fluorocarbon connections, including hook-set connections to heavy offshore leaders. Each 6.5-inch section can be cut to the required length, making it easy to customize protection for different hooks, leaders, and rigging configurations.

Standard tubes contain ten individual 6.5-inch pieces for a total of 65 inches of chafe tubing. Color stripes provide convenient size identification on these precut sections, while 100-foot bulk spools are solid black without color-coded markings for anglers and riggers who need larger quantities.
