This ready-to-fish softbaiting combo pairs the Assassin Edge II 7′ Medium Heavy with the Daiwa 24 Revros LT4000-CXH and XBRAID Upgrade X8 Pentagram braid delivering the sensitivity, power, and line strength needed to work soft plastics effectively inshore or offshore.

Rod: Assassin – Edge II 7′ Medium Heavy

The Assassin Edge II in 7′ Medium Heavy is purpose-built for softbaiting, offering the backbone to drive hooks home while retaining enough tip sensitivity to detect subtle takes. The 7′ length provides solid casting range and leverage when fighting fish, while the medium heavy rating handles a wide range of jig head weights with control and precision.

Reel: Daiwa – 24 REVROS LT4000-CXH

The 24 Revros LT4000-CXH brings Daiwa’s LT (Light & Tough) concept to an accessible price point, keeping weight down without sacrificing durability. The CXH designation means an extra-high gear ratio for fast line recovery ideal for quickly repositioning soft baits and keeping pace with fast-running fish. It’s a smooth, reliable workhorse that punches well above its class.

Line: XBRAID – UPGRADE X8 PENTAGRAM

The XBRAID Upgrade X8 Pentagram is an 8-carrier braid built around a pentagram weave structure for exceptional roundness, smoothness through guides, and consistent diameter under load. Its low stretch transmits every bump and twitch directly to your hands critical for feeling soft plastic presentations and reacting to light bites fast.

Three components, one focused softbaiting system ideal for anglers who want a proven, performance-matched setup straight out of the box. Add to cart and get fishing.
