This ready-to-fish EGI combo pairs the Atomic Arrowz Egi Spin rod with the Daiwa 23 LEGALIS LT2500S-DH reel and XBRAID GESO TSR X8 braid three components chosen specifically for squid fishing with egi jigs.

Rod: Atomic – Arrowz Egi Spin 8’3″, 2pc, 1.5 – 3.0 Squid Rod

The Atomic Arrowz Egi Spin is an 8’3″ two-piece rod rated for 1.5 to 3.0 egi jigs the ideal range for targeting squid across a variety of conditions. Its length delivers the long casts and high rod-tip action needed to work egi jigs effectively. The two-piece design makes it easy to transport without sacrificing performance on the water.

Reel: Daiwa – 23 LEGALIS LT2500S-DH

The 23 LEGALIS LT2500S-DH is built on Daiwa’s LT (Light & Tough) platform with a ZAION V body and AIRDRIVE Design keeping weight down to just 200g without compromising rigidity or durability. The 2500S shallow spool is optimised for light PE braid, and the double handle (DH) configuration gives the smooth, balanced retrieve that egi anglers rely on when working jigs with a rhythmic lift-and-fall action. ATD Type-L drag and Tough Digigear complete a reel that punches well above its price point for squid fishing.

Line: XBRAID – GESO TSR X8 PE0.8 17.2LB

The XBRAID GESO TSR X8 is an 8-carrier braid developed specifically for egi squid fishing. Its tight, round construction delivers low stretch and high sensitivity critical for detecting subtle squid takes and transmitting rod-tip movements down to the jig. A hydrophobic coating, fluorescent pink base with multi-colour metering, and UV-stable construction make it as practical as it is performance-focused. The PE0.8 / 17.2lb rating pairs naturally with a 2500-class reel and egi-rated rod for a balanced, responsive setup.

Together, these three components form a cohesive, technique-specific EGI system. Perfect for squid anglers who want a reliable, performance-matched combo without the guesswork grab yours today.
