The Smart Anglers Livebait Slider Clip 1.8mm is an essential tool for New Zealand land-based game fishers looking to deploy large live baits beyond the surf zone. Designed for the popular “slide baiting” technique, this heavy-duty clip allows you to cast your sinker effectively before sliding a live Jack Mackerel or Kahawai down the mainline directly into the strike zone.

Built from robust 1.8mm stainless spring steel, this non-return slider ensures your bait travels one waystraight to the fishwithout swimming back up the line. It is particularly effective for targeting trophy Kingfish and Snapper off rock ledges and beaches where casting a heavy live bait rig conventionally is difficult or impossible.

• Non-Return Design The coiled wire shape ensures the slider travels only towards the sinker, keeping the bait in the fishing zone.
• Heavy-Duty Construction Made from 1.8mm stainless spring steel to withstand the aggressive runs of NZ Kingfish and sharks.
• Distance Casting Allows you to cast a breakaway sinker maximum distance first, then deploy the bait separately.
• Live Bait Presentation Keeps your Mackerel or Kahawai in better condition by avoiding the impact of the initial cast.
• Secure Locking Features a reliable clip mechanism to ensure the slider stays attached to your mainline during the slide.
